Whole Cup
Whole cup bird’s nest are the most premium form, large in size with dense strands, offering the best nutrition, texture, and appearance. Triangular nests are among the finest of this category.
Edge
These are the two ends of the bird’s nest that attach to the cave or house wall. The edges are usually harder and need to be soaked overnight before cooking.
Strips
Filaments are smaller strips of bird’s nest and the most common type found in instant products, as they are the cheapest. However, their texture is not as refined as whole nests, and they are rarely chosen as gifts.

Step 01
Classification of the raw birdnest
The raw bird’s nest can be divided into light, medium, and heavy hairs. Therefore, it is necessary to classify the raw bird’s nest according to the amount of hairs so that the workers can clean the bird’s nest separately and decide the quality of products that can be produced.
Step 02
Cleaning the surrounding debris
In the first step of cleaning the raw bird’s nest, the workers need to remove the heavy debris and large hairs around, so that the following workers can easily pick up the fine hairs.
Step 03
Hand-picking the impurities
The traditional picking method can be divided into dry picking, semi-dry picking, wet picking, and semi-wet picking. Therefore, raw bird’s nest with different level of cleanliness will need different picking methods, where the water used in the cleaning process is RO purified water.
Step 04
Shaping and moulding
The bird’s nest will be sent to the shaping room for shaping and moulding because the shape of the bird’s nest will be deformed after the picking process.
Step 05
BirdNest Disinfection
In order to comply with international food hygiene standards, every piece of bird’s nest must be heat treatment after air-drying process to ensure that the bird’s nest is completely free from contamination.
